The Humboldt Yacht Club has actively promoted recreational boating on Humboldt Bay and surrounding waters since 1938. We have a full calendar of events for off-shore, lagoon and in-bay racing for dinghies and keelboats, as well as many social events during the year. Most of all, we provide sailors and other recreational boaters with a community of fellow enthusiasts.

Our beautiful clubroom is located in the west-wing of the Wharfinger Building in Eureka. With its picturesque location, we proudly showcase the “Best View on the Bay.” Club members frequently bring a bag lunch, or meet a friend and relax and enjoy the view. The clubroom can be reserved by club members for family parties or special events, and is also available for rental by the public.

Themed potluck dinners / general membership meetings are held at 6:00 p.m. on the first Tuesday of each month except January (Crab Feed & Awards), September (Redwood Regatta & BBQ) and December (Flag Officers’ Dinner / Change of Watch). We meet in the Wharfinger Building located at the Eureka Public Marina, One Marina Way, Eureka. Board of Governors’ meetings are held at 6:00 pm in our clubroom on the second Tuesday of each month, and are open to all club members.

The Humboldt Yacht Club is open to anyone who enjoys, or would like to enjoy, recreational boating on Humboldt Bay or the lagoons. Our membership dues are $200 a year, with a one-time initiation fee currently set at $1.

If you would like more information about the yacht club, or a membership application, please join us for our Potluck on the first Tuesday of the month at 6:00 pm, or contact Vice Commodore Larry Fox at (707) 845-4854 or email: humboldtyachtclub@gmail.com
